Composition:
Salicylic Acid I.P.    16.7% w/v
Lactic Acid I.P.    16.7% w/v
Flexible Collodion U.S.P.    q.s.

Indications:

  • Corns

Description:

  • Salicyclic Acid has keratolytic property, it brings about lyses i.e. breakdown of keratin layer
  • Lactic Acid enchances availability of Salicylic Acid from the dried collodion by helping to break down the surface of the skin
  • Flexible Collodion is a liquid preparation consisting of a solution of pyroxylin in a mixture of ether and alcohol. When Collodion is painted on the skin and allowed to dry it leaves a flexible film over the site of application
  • Salactin Paint removes corns and warts quickly, painlessly without scarring the skin
  • Salactin Paint is suitable for use by children, adults and elderly

Directions for use:

  • Salactin Paint has to be applied to the wart, corn or the callus, once or twice daily until it is completely cleared, and the ridgelines of the skin is restored
  • Every morning and night, before applying Salactin Paint, soak the affected part in warm water for five minutes
  • Dry with your own towel
  • Rub away the softened skin gently, using a pumice stone or manicure board. Do not use this pumice stone or the emery board for any other purpose
  • Open the Salactin Paint bottle gently and carefully, without spilling the contents. Unscrew the cap of Salactin Paint bottle gently and carefully, and apply Salactin Paint to the affected part only, using the applicator, which is attached to the bottle cap
  • Allow each drop to dry before the next one is applied. Guard against Salactin Paint spreading to the normal healthy skin during application
  • Any medication spreading to the surrounding skin should be wiped off using cotton wool
  • Replace the bottle cap firmly after the application
  • If the sole of the foot is affected, cover it with adhesive plaster after applying Salactin Paint. This will enhance penetration to the active ingredients. Areas treated elsewhere need not be covered
  • If the warts are on the soles of the feet, the patient should be advised to cover the wart with adhesive plaster, and never walk barefoot
  • Leave on Salactin for 12 to 24 hours, and repeat the procedure (once or twice daily) morning, and/ or night, only after removing the adhesive the adhesive plaster

  • 10 ml glass bottle with twin applicator
  • Pin Ball Plastic Applicator for corns and Pin Point Plastic Applicator for warts are provided for easy and proper usage
