Composition:
Flurbiprofen Sodium    0.03% w/v
Phenylmercuric Nitrate (As Preservative)    0.001% w/v
Water for injection    q.s.

Indications:

  • Pain and inflammation in Intra-operative Miosis
  • Keratitis
  • Scleritis
  • Uveitis
  • Allergy and Infection of eyes

Description:

  • Flurbiprofen eye drops are commonly used to treat pain and swelling that may follow eye surgery, particularly when a steroid eye drop cannot be used
  • Flurbiprofen belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • Flurbiprofen works by blocking the production of a chemical in the body (prostaglandins)

Dosage instillation:
1 drop 4 times a day

  • Inhibition of intra-operative miosis: Sometimes, the pupil of the eye gets smaller during an operation. This makes it more difficult for the surgeon to reach some areas of the eye. Some of these medicines are used to help prevent this

Dosage:
One drop is instilled into the eye every 30 minutes beginning 2 hours before surgery

  • Prophylaxis and reduction of inflammation and associated symptoms following ocular surgery and post laser trabeculoplasty

Dosage:
1 drop 3 times daily for up to 3 weeks starting 24 hours before surgery

  • Relief of ocular itching or oedema (too much fluid in the eye) due to seasonal allergic conjunctivitis and control of inflammatory reaction following cataract surgery

Dosage:
1 drop 3-5 times

Presentation:
5 ml bottle with FFS technology. Eye Drops are manufactured under the most sterile conditions with latest Form Fill Seal Technology
